About Steak & Co

Our Story

Independent. Opinionated. Genuinely passionate about great meat.

What This Site Is

Steak & Co is a guide site built for people who care about what they put on the grill.

That means sourcing better cuts, learning actual technique, and spending money on gear that

genuinely performs instead of just looking good in a YouTube ad.

We cover steak knives, pellet grills, dry-aged beef, BBQ rubs, infrared searing, subscription

butcher boxes, and the fundamentals of cooking red meat properly. Every guide goes deep. We

don't do top-10 listicles stitched together from other top-10 listicles.

How We Approach Reviews

Every product recommendation on this site goes through the same basic filter: would we buy it

ourselves, or recommend it to someone whose cooking we actually care about? If the answer is no,

we don't recommend it.

We also try to be honest about what we haven't personally tested. When we rely on reputation,

specifications, and community consensus instead of hands-on time, we say so. You deserve to know

where the information comes from.

The best knife is the one that fits your hand, stays sharp, and doesn't rust in a kitchen drawer.

We try to help you find that knife, not the most expensive one.

Publishing Cadence

We publish roughly one major guide per month. The goal is quality over volume. Each piece is

researched, tested where possible, and written to hold up for years, not just until the next

algorithm cycle rewards something fresher.

Get in Touch

Have a topic you want us to cover? Found an error? Want to pitch a collaboration? Use the

contact page. We read every message, though we can't promise a reply to

every one.

Independent

No ownership ties, no editorial control from brands. Steak & Co is self-funded and editorially independent.

Long-form

We don't pad word counts, but we don't cut important context either. Guides average 2,500+ words because the topics deserve it.

Practical

Recommendations come with context. We explain why a product earns its spot, not just that it does.
